Paper Girl

Like a book, magazine or newspaper filled with different thoughts, words, stories, secrets, pictures, ideas or news good or bad so is our minds, in there lies a lot of things mostly negative stuffs but out of the negative can come positivity if we want. To me, the mind is a dark place through which light comes out, I am no doctor or scientist but commonsensical I am pretty sure  the inside of every man's body is dark, the combination of several colors each organ has combine with the thick red liquid that runs through our veins, I can only imagine literally how dark a man's inside is and i feel the same with our minds. Just like we are likely to have organs with different colors so can different behaviors or personalities be seen in people, we all know that colors could be associated with our moods however, what colors we love to embrace or how we choose to combine these colors will mostly determine what brightness comes from that dark place. Be that light in the dark with which people will see.


Even our almighty God created the world out of darkness, He said  let there me light and out of the void darkness that covered the face of earth He called out light. This goes to tell us that no matter how dark that situation is, no matter how hopeless, frustrating or sadden life gets there is always a beautiful bright shining light at the end of the tunnel.
I made this piece of art below with colorful magazine/newspaper, it portrays how the mind could be dark but from it brightness comes. From that dark place let positive thoughts and utterances as well as bright personality come forth. Be a light to someone, be that light the world need.

It literally took me two days to complete this piece, between this, attending to my babies and other house shores and errands i had little or no time for my self but i think it worth it in the end. I had this photo portrait i got about a year ago, i couldn't use it because the glass shield broke but i kept it with the intention of using it for another purpose which turns out to be useful for the above paper art.

So i basically tore out magazines, i rolled it and started to curl it up in different sizes. All i needed was the papers, hot gun glue, easy glue and a board to place the curled papers on which already came with my photo frame.

And this was the original photo frame but broken.  Like i have mentioned before in my previous Diy blogs, most things consider useless could actually be useful if we put them into good use by being creative with them. I have another home decorative wreath i made also out of newspapers, will put it up on my next blog. With almost no cost i am able to add a shabby girl accent to our room and a piece of art portrait to the living room.
